Discovery
In order to determine the most appropriate search service, our accomplished Managing Directors work closely with our clients to thoroughly assess all corporate and market variables. The Managing Director and our research team gain a thorough understanding of the company’s organizational needs, historical and current financials, and unique culture in order to define the objectives for the position. This helps determine the most advantageous hiring strategy towards securing the most qualified candidate.
In many instances we provide input and make suggestions that lead to a reorganized senior corporate structure, which tends to be more streamlined and efficient. This includes redefining responsibilities and position expectations.
Being a part of creating or defining the position gives us a clear picture of the candidate profile requirements and position specifications. Our consultants are particularly qualified to provide this service because of their extensive business experience.
Research and Outreach
Once the assignment specification has been drawn up, our Managing Directors and research team work closely together to source, identify and assess qualified candidates in accordance with the agreed upon specifications.
Frequently, this process evolves in a variety of different ways depending on the candidate’s qualifications and the synergy that develops. Once a connection is made between all parties, Executives Unlimited digs even deeper to substantiate the candidate’s representations, accomplishments, his or her particular leadership style, problem solving ability, drive, initiative and character/integrity.
The business experience that our consultants possess is especially valuable in the qualification process. It enables us to understand the candidate’s professional achievements and relate them to the position requirements. Executives Unlimited thoroughly verifies all credentials, education, and professional and personal references. Candidate Presentation
Executives Unlimited’s role in presenting candidates to clients is both objective and subjective – but always balanced. We prepare a comprehensive written assessment of each candidate, including a synopsis of his or her experience and qualifications.
Interview Training
Presenting you with qualified candidates is only a part of the process. We also provide our clients with interview training that goes beyond common guidelines. Candidate Selection and Offer
Following the interviews, Executives Unlimited consults with our client’s search team to work through the selection process – while recognizing that the final choice ultimately rests with our client. We undertake additional due diligence, including thorough reference, criminal and background checks.
The final step in attracting an outstanding candidate is a joint effort between our client and us. We assist in determining what is needed in terms of the position, resource commitments, growth opportunities and financial incentives in order to hire the outstanding candidate. When appropriate, we also assist in negotiating a mutually acceptable offer.
Post-Placement/On-Boarding
Once the ideal candidate has been placed, Executives Unlimited takes it a step further by managing the transition to ensure that all parties are mutually satisfied. It is our belief that more attention needs to be given to the first critical months of a new employee’s on-boarding in order to increase effectiveness and retention of valued executives. That is why, in keeping with our consultative approach, our role as liaison continues even beyond the new hire’s transition. We track the candidate’s successful employment for up to 18 months, obtaining input regarding progress from both parties, and continue to mediate, collaborate and consult as needed.
On-boarding can mitigate the risk of losing a new executive due to expectations not being met on either side by providing a step-by-step framework for success.
Our strategic on-boarding program involves a high level of human interaction and is tailored to the individual needs of our clients. We find that individuals who are organizationally assimilated into their new roles are better equipped to understand the company culture and corporate objectives to ultimately influence and establish early wins. This increases the new hire’s effectiveness, satisfaction and retention, and in turn, increases a company’s success.
